When the day of Pentecost came, they were all together in one place. Suddenly a sound like the blowing of a violent wind came from heaven and filled the whole house where they were sitting. They saw what seemed to be tongues of fire that separated and came to rest on each of them. All of them were filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak in other tongues as the Spirit enabled them.Acts 2: 1-4
Go
Beloved, the sound of the wind and the tongues of fire that rested on each of the them capturing their attention made the journey that day very special. The God-fearing Jews heard this sound and the crowd was captured in bewilderment because they heard their own language spoken according to verses five and six of Acts 2. Some thought they had been drinking wine, others amazed and perplexed. Peter filled with the Holy Spirit stands and addresses this captured audience with a power driven message from the Holy Spirit. Tomorrow we will look at the message. But for today, does the Holy Spirit capture your heart? If Jesus is your Savior then you have the indwelling Holy Spirit. Beloved do you have questions about the Holy Spirit?
Stop
Father God, CAPTURE us with your love,
Cleanse us from all unrighteousness,
Accomplish through each one of us your good and perfect will,
Provide us with opportunities to share our faith,
Teach me to be flexible to serve you,
Upholding your word,
Renewing my mind daily,
Equipping others to serve you. In Jesus Name, By the power of the Holy Spirit Amen.
