28 Days of Loving God- Day 13

28 Days of Loving God= Day 13

Beloved, our word is tattered-tattered, torn, worn-out is the concept of this word. Our verse above is from Hosea.

God had ordered Hosea to marry an unfaithful wife, and they have three children. His children were given symbolic names representing part of an ominous message–Israel denying God and calling them repentance. Instead, however, he sees them fail to acknowledge God=-Israel’s main problem.

Sweet friend, the offer to Israel and this offer is provided to us when tattered and worn, are in words “come.”

“Come, let us return to the Lord.
He has torn us to pieces
but he will heal us;
he has injured us
but he will bind up our wounds. Hebrew 6:1. NIV.

Another verse

Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Mathew 11:28 NIV.

We see in the book of Hosea two perplexing problems. First, Gomer was unfaithful to Hosea, yet he loved her. Second, Hosea loves her, and he takes her back despite her unfaithfulness. Ultimately God restores Isreal in a relationship.

Today because Jesus died on the cross for our sins, we are redeemed from a tattered relationship. If we believe in Jesus, the same truth that saves Hosea’s marriage is that God loves us so much. When we have Jesus as our Saviour, sin, and unfaithfulness will separate us. Despite our sin being a  lie, hate, lack of forgiveness, bitterness, anger, the remedy for our sin is a confession of sin. God loves us; in 1 John 1: 9, it says if we confess, Gode is faithful to forgive. When we ask for forgiveness, we are forgiven.

If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness. 1 John 1:9. NIV.

Oh sweet friend, have you accepted Jesus as your savior? God sent His one and only son so we who believe in Him will have eternal life. God loves us and wants to give us salvation from this tattered life. Is there any unconfessed sin in your life that is causing you some problems?

Father God, thank you for saving us from our tattered lives in Jesus’s name, Amen.

What is God asking you to do is respond to this blog today?
