28 Days of Loving God -Day 21
Beloved, our word today is adapt-adapt, defined as making (something) suitable for a new use or purpose; modify. I think since the Covid pandemic, we have all had to adapt. We have had to adapt to wearing a mask. To a toilet and paper towel shortage, and now we see our groceries and gasoline prices going up and up. Some days I can stress over what is happening.
As you know, I am a nurse case manager. Sometimes the losses are significant in my job. And yet the reward each day outweighs the sadness. So many that I have been able to help. Each day I adapt to my schedule.
Our verse is a good verse about adapting.
Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will. Romans 12:2. NIV.
Sweet friend, we have to protect our minds, and when we do, we can discern and adapt to what needs to be done. Currently, daily we need to pray and read God’s word. Additionally, wisdom is ours as we adapt to our situations.
What do you need to adapt to?
Father God, daily we are asked to adapt to the world and we ask you to help us make those adjustments. In Jesus’s name. Amen.
