28 Days of Loving God- Day 22
Beloved, our word today is complacent–complacent is defined as showing smug or uncritical satisfaction with oneself or one’s achievements.
Complacent is in the Bible four times.
You women who are so complacent, rise up and listen to me; you daughters who feel secure, hear what I have to say! Isaiah 32:9 NIV.
Often I think I am complacent in my relationship with telling others about Jesus. Usually, I stop short of asking the question, when did you ask Jesus to be your Savior? After all, Jesus is the way, the truth, and the life. Read with me John 14:6.
Jesus answered, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me. John 14:6. NIV
Have you ever led anyone to Christ? The first thing to do is to write out your testimony. 1. When you accept Christ, be willing to share your testimony. 2. Know a few verses like Romans 3:23, Romans 6:23, Romans 5:8, Romans 10:13, John 3:16-17. 3. Don’t be afraid to bring it home and ask the tricky question, do you want to pray to accept Christ as your Savior?
Sweet friend. Don’t be complacent in your walk with Christ. God loves you. He will help you in your daily walk.
Daily as we go about our day, God invites us to join Him. Who will you share the good news about Jesus Christ?
Father God, Help me to not be complacent, help me to share Christ daily with those I interact with at work. In Jesus’s name. Amen.
