30 Days of Thankfulness-Day 23
Therefore, since we are receiving a kingdom which cannot be shaken, let us have grace, by which we [a]may serve God acceptably with reverence and godly fear. Hebrew 12:28. KJV.
Beloved, friend, are you grateful for heaven?
Hebrews 12: 1-2 says, “Therefore we also, since so great a cloud of witnesses surrounds us, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which so easily ensnares us, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us, 2 looking unto Jesus, the [a]author and [b]finisher of our faith, who for the joy that was set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.”
Jesus ran the race, died on the cross, and then his work completed with his resurrection, and he sat down at the right hand of God. Upon completing this, he intercedes for us until it is time to go to heaven.
One such prayer is found in John 17.
Beloved, he prays for us. What are your response to eternal life and the fact he prays for us? My response is one of thanksgiving.
I am so thankful for heaven and that when I do not know how to pray, Jesus and the Holy Spirit pray for me.
Father God, thank you for Jesus and the Holy Spirit. Thank you that each of them prays for us as believers. I am thankful for eternal life, which starts now. In Jesus’s name, amen.
Which verse will you write today?
