30 Days of Thankfulness -Day 29
Beloved as we come to the end of 30 Days of Thankfulness, how has this series changed your walk with Jesus? I desire that each of you is drawing near to God because daily, you have thought about a verse, written a verse, and have practiced thankfulness.
Oh, give thanks to the Lord, for He is good! For His mercy endures forever. Psalm 136: 1, 26. KJV.
The definition of mercy is the compassionate treatment of those in need. Grace is unmerited favor. God gives us grace and mercy. During our Thanksgiving holiday, we visited with our family. We certainly tasted a lot of good food. We have the five senses that we need to be thankful for daily.
Sights and sounds of the holiday season already surround us.
Which of God’s attributes are you most thankful for today? How about the word of God? Are you grateful for God’s Word?
Tonight, at Bible Study Fellowship, we looked at how Jesus prepared the disciples to take the good news to Israel. Jesus told the disciples they would be persecuted but to persevere because nothing could separate them from the love of God. If God knows the number of hair we have on our heads, he knows our needs daily.
What might God be asking you to do this holiday season?
What are you thankful for this day?
Father God, thank you for your mercy and grace. Thank you that you never leave us or forsake us, that you are the same, yesterday and tomorrow. Thank you that you are in our tomorrows. In Jesus’s name. Amen.
