31 Verses to Live By- Day 1
Happy New Year! As I contemplated what to write next, I wanted to share verses to live by, verses that shape and or will guide your life.
You may not know this about me, but I have maintained over a hundred-pound weight loss for nine years. In 2012, I weighed 245 pounds, and after six months of classes, I had weight loss surgery. As a result, I have a gastric sleeve, and to this day, I can only eat about half of a sandwich for lunch.
Beloved, I discovered this verse in Bible Study Fellowship when we studied the book of 1 Corinthians. The Jews were offended by the food, but the Apostle Paul wants to get past the point that it is not really about eating or drinking. Instead, the Apostle Paul was making the point to honor God in all that you do.
How will you honor God in all that you do this year?
Father God, it is the first day of the new year, so many dreams and resolutions are in the readers’ hearts. Lord, help each one of us to do what you would have us do and do it well. In Jesus’s name. Amen.
