I learned to sew from my grandmother, Beulah Johnson. Vividly, I remember the quilting frame next to the ceiling that stored a quilt in progress. I made most of my clothes in high school including my prom dresses and my graduation dress. So I do have a crafty side to me.
This week’s list is the Things you’d like to make. Below are some things I’d like to make:
With wood:
A bookshelf the same size of a regular bookshelf that would slide up and rotate forward and then down but would have twice the storage.
With material:
Doll clothes
Children clothes
Sun dresses for the girls in Africa
Clothes for me
Quilt
Finish a quilt from my Grandmother
With dry ingredients:
Grandma’s cinnamon rolls
Grandma’s chocolate cake.
Cheese Ball
Enchilada’s
At Christmas time- Divinity
With Paper:
A Prayer Journal
Personally:
A welcoming personality so people will see Jesus in me.

April 7, 2016 at 4:30 amOooh! Cinnamon rolls! I love those… your list is wonderful. There is such a sweetness in keeping the handicrafts of our ancestors alive and I think it’s wonderful you want to make sundresses for the girls in Africa. That is so loving and giving.
