The chances of being stuck on a desert island are slim for most of us, but I used to say if that happened I would want my toothbrush, my Bible, and Excedrin. Then my using Excedrin led to me having a life threatening ulcer requiring surgery in 2009, so Excedrin is no longer one of my comforting things.
This week’s list is about greatest comforts. So for many of us what does it take to bring us comfort much less our greatest comforts?
Let’s take a minute vacation, at the Ritz Carlton Hotel, known for comfortable robes. Needs met.
Beloved, let’s meet for coffee, my treat. I am having a Spiced Chai Latte. What are you drinking? As far as greatest comforts there is nothing better than family and friends.
What are you reading? I am reading Fervent. Becoming More Than a Good Bible Study Girl.
My dream retirement: I would have a cabin with a fire-place, and the crackling noise of the wood with my comforter over my feet as I sit on the couch, my pillow at the small of my back, my journal, bible and a good book, popcorn and chocolate. A spiced Chai Latte to drink and the only thing that would make it better is to have family and friends visit.
My week two: top ten visual list – greatest comforts (in no particular order).
