The steps of a man are established by the Lord, and He delights in his way. When he falls, he will not be hurled headlong because the Lord is the One who holds his hand. I have been young, and now I am old, yet I have not seen the righteous forsaken or his descendants begging bread. All-day long, he is gracious and lends, and his descendants are a blessing (Psalms 37:23-26, NASB).
Jehovah-Rophe, Our Great Healer: Have you experienced the Lord’s healing touch?
Please help me. I am Falling
O how I would like to take back my step on December 4, 2020, at 8:01 PM. To turn back the clock, to correct my step, would mean I did not break my shoulder. But we are not time-travelers and can’t go backward in time, except in our thoughts. And we can’t go forward in time except in our dreams. However, I did, and my foot flailing in the air like there was a banana peel on the floor, and I flew off the top step, landing on my bottom two steps down, and I heard the crack of my left shoulder. The safety rail did not save me from the slippery soles of my socks.
Long Nights
I am still in the process of healing. I started physical therapy and have much pain in my shoulder, and nights are the hardest. I haven’t tried to type much since that fateful night. However, because it was my left shoulder, I have been able to read and journal, returning first to the joy of Facebook with the one-handed pecking system.
Thanks
I want to thank Barbie Swihart Hernandez for managing my blog. She will be popping on here in a few days to announce her plans. Then to my amazing friends that wrote a guest blog, thank you from the bottom of my heart.
Conclusion
Beloved, God is with us in our crisis. He heals our bodies and gives us our strength and determination to go on with life when things are difficult. God says in Exodus 15: 26 b, “For I am the Lord that healeth thee.” He is Jehovah-Rophe, Our Great Healer.
He directs our steps as the verse in Psalms declares. He states in Jeremiah 29:11 that He knows the plans He has for us to give us hope and a future.
I am on the mend, and I hope to write a few times a week. Thank you for reading my blog and for praying for my healing. God has heard your prayers and continues to heal my left shoulder.
Father God, You are Our Great Healer. You alone are worthy of our praise. Will, you today meet my friend where she is at, and if she needs a fresh touch of healing, will you provide this for her? In Jesus Name, Amen
How can I pray for you?
