BRAVE
Resolutions and I do not mix. I am not good at making resolutions, I wish I was. I do not know if it has to do with discipline or the lack of discipline but I would make a resolution and I would break it a few weeks into the resolution. I want to be a better person, truly I do. I have good intentions. That is why the last few years I have chosen a word instead of resolutions.
What is God’s will for you for 2018? He desires a relationship with us. He created us in Psalm 139:13 he has known us intimately from our mother’s womb. You say in verse 14 of Psalm 139 that I am fearfully and wonderfully made. He wants to search and know us beloved. So He wants to be involved in our lives, we need to invite him in and in order to do that we need to read God’s word and pray.
What stops me from reading your word faithfully? Good ole’ procrastination. Sometimes I have been ill but much of the time I have let me get in the way of being faithful to a reading plan. I want to be faithful to a reading plan in 2018. I have a devotional this year that I am going to read it is Come With Me Devotional in the book of Luke by Suzanne Eller.
Father God, you are amazing and I love you. Thank you for loving me. In Jesus Name. Amen.
Resolutions or a Word?
