Five-Minute Friday. A time to write freely for five minutes on a word then link with other amazing writers. The word Accept.
Accept, LORD, the willing praise of my mouth, and teach me your laws. Psalm 119:108
Have you ever had the nudge of the Holy Spirit to do something and then the fight begins of why you can’t accept the challenge? I am new in Fort Cobb so I am learning the neighborhood by walking my dog, Tory. Three weeks ago, I met Megan a young mother who’s expecting another child and invited her to study She Is Still There the study through Proverbs 31.Org. Well, I bought her the book, when I delivered the book, she was sleeping. I’ve walked by several times since and she hasn’t been outside. Today, on my walk, I made my way there, praying she would be outside. The house seems deserted. I started to walk on by and that nudge became stronger, so strong that I had to accept the challenge to knock on the door. What would happen, would she slam the door in my face? Would she be home?
Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him. And He shall direct your paths. Proverbs 3: 5-6
Megan answered the door and came outside briefly. She has read some of the book I bought for her. I asked her to friend me on Facebook. Beloved, have you accepted the nudge of the Holy Spirit?

September 22, 2017 at 3:26 pmI am sad to say there have been times when I’ve ignored that little voice. Not many but some. I find that I am often the one who misses out when that happens.
In the #8 spot this week at FMF.

September 22, 2017 at 5:22 pmSometimes it is hard to know when the Holy Spirit is nudging us, but when we don know it’s always best to accept and act on it. Usually we are blessed because of it.
Thanks for a lovely post, Diana. Blessings to you!
