BRANCH

A shoot will come up from the stump of Jesse; from his roots a Branch will bear fruit. Isaiah 11:1

Remain in me, as I also remain in you. No branch can bear fruit by itself; it must
remain in the vine. Neither can you bear fruit unless you remain in me. … John 15:4

 

Names of Jesus–Branch

 

Jesus was born in Bethlehem but lived in Nazareth so he was often called the Nazarene. Jesus used metaphors and picture images to teach. So when I say “Family Tree” one can picture a tree with spaces that one list family members. Jesus came from the shoot of Jesse, King David. We often read through the family tree by skimming after all one can’t even say the names. A branch of a tree if it is separated from the vine it will die. We need that connection.

Jesus is our Branch.  Born of a virgin, Redeemer, Advocate, Newness to each life, Called, Holy.  Jesus was born of a virgin, when we accept him as our savior he is our redeemer, he is our advocate, he makes every thing new, we are called to live a holy life. Be Holy as I am Holy.

Remain in him.
