JESUS
For to us a child is born,
to us a son is given,
and the government will be on his shoulders.
And he will be called
Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God,
Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.
7Of the greatness of his government and peace
there will be no end.
He will reign on David’s throne
and over his kingdom,
establishing and upholding it
with justice and righteousness
from that time on and forever.
The zeal of the Lord Almighty
will accomplish this. Isaiah 9:6-7
Jesus became my savior when I was eleven years old. Jesus there is just something about that name.
I love the songs that magnify his name. I love this time of year when we celebrate his birth. Jesus is the Greek variation of the Hebrew name Joshua. Joshua brought the Israelites into the promise land. Jesus leads us who believe in Him daily. Jesus name has power and purpose.
Jesus performed miracles with power. Jesus purpose is to provide for each of us His perfect life for our imperfect lives. Jesus who knew no sin became sin so that my sins could be forgiven. Jesus is the same yesterday, today and tomorrow.
J- Justified
E- Everlasting life
S Sanctified
U – United
S- Salvation
Jesus, there is just something about that name.
Father God, thank you for Jesus.
