31 Day Writings

Adventures on the dusty road involve God’s care and whisper’s of love.

Beloved, my husband and I celebrated our wedding anniversary in the middle of summer. Due to unforeseen circumstances, we were at a hospital for a stress test on his heart. Now, he must endure more tests for the golden years. He just had his sixth back surgery, and can you believe this triggered an audit of his Medicare, and he is having to justify charges from twenty years ago! Never a dull moment!

Our verse today is one I think of often, “casting all your cares on him because he cares about you. 1 Peter 5:7.

Just this morning, I used this verse to encourage a young friend who has overcome a lot in her young life. She is amazing. She is a social worker because of poor care in the foster care system. If one deserves a book of triumph, this young lady does. She has turned her life around, working in a rewarding career. I am so thankful that I met her on the dusty road I traveled. Her name is Grace, and I pray for her as she navigates life.

The word of the day is care. Care is in the Bible 202 times. The definition of care is providing what is necessary for the health, welfare, maintenance, and protection of someone or something. As a Case Manager, my title is Care Manager. As I meet with the patient and the family, I listen for what they might need. God, in His love for us, cares for us.

Recently, I received a voicemail from the wife of a patient I had prayed for. She said that even though her husband had passed away, God had answered our prayer. God had been providing for her and her children financially. I always pray that God will meet my needs physically, spiritually, mentally, and economically.

We can count on Jesus to care for us. As I walk this dusty road of uncertainty, with many health issues for my husband and myself, I hear God whispering how much He loves me and cares for me aa I put one foot in front of the other. Daily, the simple pleasures of reading God’s word, praying, playing with our little dog, watching the hummingbirds, and the occasional deer, I am blessed. Listen for the whispers of God.

“WHISPERS OF LOVE”

Karen L. Clark

Jesus whispers

In my ear

Sweet melodies

He is near!

Words of Love

From Heaven’s Songs

Join the chorus

Sing along

Whispering,

Sweet voice of love,

Lifts me up to Heaven’s sounds

Jesus, Lord, God’s only Son.

Soft, His melodies

That He brings

To my ear

He makes me sing.

Gentle, His touch

Tenderly

Whispering

That He loves me.

Choruses of Angels sing

They reach my ear

Heaven’s songs

Are what I hear.

Loving Jesus

He is Near

Whispering

In my ear.

Isaiah 6:3 And one called to another: Holyholyholy is the Lord of Armies; his glory fills the whole earth.

Beloved, Cast you cares on Jesus, God is whispering songs of hope and love to you.

Father God, for the woman like me who has a husband with needs that only you can heal, let her trust you. For the young woman filled with anxiety or fear, let her bring her cares to you. For the mother with small children, give her the utmost love and grace. For those of us with health problems, facing insurance issues, let us fight the good fight. For those of us with health issues may we have peace and hear your whispers of love. May we be generous people. In Jesus’ name amen.
