Scripture
Delight thyself also in the Lord: and he shall give thee the desires of thine heart. Psalm 37:4
Thoughts
When I had my second child, before the days where you could find out what you were having, I was convinced that I was having a girl. My mom had had a boy and a girl and I just was thinking that is what would happen I would have a boy and a girl. However, when my baby came it was a boy. Well it only took holding him to thank God for him. He had blond hair and was so precious.
Then fast forward many years and my son’s wives had sons. However, thirteen years ago, my son and his wife had a little girl, and then another girl was born to my other son the following year.
I love that I have grandsons and granddaughters. I am truly blessed.
To live a good life sometimes we have wants and needs and yet we really only need love, the love of God.
Read with me these verses in Psalm 37.
Trust in the Lord, and do good; so shalt thou dwell in the land, and verily thou shalt be fed.
Delight thyself also in the Lord: and he shall give thee the desires of thine heart.
Commit thy way unto the Lord; trust also in him; and he shall bring it to pass. Psalm 37: 3-5.
Conclusion
Beloved, trust in the Lord and do good. Commit your way unto the Lord, trust in Him and lean not on your own understanding.
Father God, thank You that you give us our needs and sometimes our wants. You are a good good God. In Jesus name Amen
