Are You A Morning Person?
Are you a morning person, when I was younger I was not a morning person? However, after being introduced to having a quiet time I desired to be faithful to God in the morning but I really struggled. Finally, I prayed and asked God to wake up early in the morning and he answered my prayer. I’ve been having quiet time in the morning for many years. I love to play worship music and journal my prayers. One such song is by Fernando Ortega.
Morning
He sings In the Morning When I Rise, Give Me Jesus. The words of this song focus on our word today–morning. The definition of the morning is the period of time between midnight and noon, especially from sunrise to noon. The word morning is in the Bible 219 times.
God called the light Day, and the darkness He called Night. So the evening and the morning were the first day. Genesis 1:5. KJV.

Mercies
The verse in the scripture meme shares that God’s mercies are new every morning. Every morning we have an opportunity to serve God. Not only do we have an opportunity to serve God, we see God’s faithfulness every day. Beloved, may I share with you, this truth carries me each day.
Every morning God’s faithfulness is new to each one of us.
Prepare
Writing my prayers and scripture is what prepares me for the day. Currently, my scripture writing includes a few verses daily from the Psalms and I am writing out the book of Romans. I’ve got a journal from Cultivate the Word for the Psalms and a journal for Romans from Dr. David Jeremiah, however, a composition book or three-ring binder works well.
But I will sing of Your power; Yes, I will sing aloud of Your mercy in the morning; For You have been my defense And refuge in the day of my trouble. Psalm 59:16. KJV
I rise before the dawning of the morning, And cry for help; I hope in Your word. Psalm 119:147. KJV.
Prayer
Father God, in the morning, when I rise, give me Jesus. In Jesus’s name, amen.
Daily, I seek God and his mercies that are new every morning, will you join me?
