Ann Voskamp shared this on her face book page and I thought before we celebrate Thanksgiving we could look at these statements. Jeremiah 29:11, “For I know the plans I have for you to give you a hope and a future. I love this verse but I love the 13th verse more because it says, “When we seek God with a whole heart, we will find Him.
Jesus died on the cross that I may have eternal life. He paid for our sins past, present and future. John 3:16 shares that who ever believes in Him will have eternal life.
God is omnipresent, omniscient, and omnipotent. He sees our hearts. He never leaves us or forsakes us and he is the same yesterday, today and forever. He never leaves us alone in our story. God is perfect and love absorbs our fear. In 2 Timothy 1:7, God did not give us a spirit of fear, but of power, love and a sound mind. We do not have to be afraid. His perfect love cast out fear. His grace is sufficient to meet all of our needs.
We are going to be okay. We have a Bible full of promises. Our stories are written everyday. He invites us to share in His plan. He is working and He gives us the opportunity to see Him answer prayers.
A;though we don’t know the day each stories will ends in glory, on streets paved with gold. There is a song I used to sing. “I’ve got a mansion just over the hilltop, in that bright land where we will never grow old. And someday yonder we will never more ponder but walk on streets of gold.”
Today I am thankful for the smell of a rose, I am thankful for God and his plan for our lives. I am thankful for the promises from His word. I am thankful for grandchildren. I am thankful for the internet.
Your turn, I am thankful for……………
