But the meek will inherit the land and enjoy the peace and prosperity. Psalm 37:11
For throughout all their journeys, the cloud of the Lord was on the tabernacle by day, and there was fire in it by fight, in the sight of all the house of Israel. Exodus 40:38
My five minutes of thoughts on the word enjoy
I am at my dad’s in Oklahoma. Enjoy is a great word when it comes to family. Yesterday, my dad preached and family came from Oklahoma City, Norman and Medicine Park to hear my dad preach and to visit with my brother and me. The Israelites at the end of Exodus build the tabernacle and the presence of God was with them. The Holy Spirit indwells us. In Psalm 37:4, “Delight yourself in the Lord; And He will give you the desires of your heart.” Do you enjoy your family? Do you enjoy your relationship with the Lord? The Israelites were under the law, the law was meant to point to Jesus Christ. One way to enjoy the Lord is to sing and worship. I love to spend time with the Lord. Devotions, reading your bible, praying, playing worship music are all ways to spend time with the Lord.
Father God, your word in Psalm 37 says to delight or enjoy our relationship with you. Your word says our steps are established and that you delight in our way. Let us not be stubborn like the Israelites. Let us enjoy your presence daily. Blessings.
Blessed are the peacemaker for they shall be called sons of God. Matthew 5:9
