Then the LORD said to Moses, “Why are you crying out to me? Tell the
Israelites to move on. … to me? Tell the Israelis to move out! … Exodus 14:15
When the Israelites left Egypt, the Lord was their personal guide. A pillar of cloud during the day and a pillar of fire at night to give them light so they could move forward day and night. The Lord in Exodus 14 tells Moses to turn back and camp in front of Pi Hahiroth so that the Pharaoh will think that the Israelites were lost and they were not moving. But God had a plan, the Israelites became afraid when they saw the Pharaoh and his army coming. The Isrealites began to complain that they were going to die and why couldn’t they have just stayed in Egypt. Moses told them to not be afraid and God told them, “MOVE.”
The Red Sea was in front of them. The angry Egyptians were behind them. They only had one choice to put one foot in front of the other and move forward. A miracle occurred, the Lord drove the sea back with an east wind. The Israelites walked through the Red Sea on dry land. But they had to make a choice and move!
Sometimes in life, we need to move but to move we just need to trust God and obey for there is no other way to be happy in Jesus but to trust and obey.
Blessed are the pure in heart, for they will see God. Matthew 5:8
