Conform

Therefore, I urge you, brothers and sisters, in view of God’s mercy, to offer your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to God—this is your true and proper worship. Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will. Romans 12:1-2

 

Because of writing the book study in January for Your Life Still Counts, I did not share my word for the year.  Last year my word was Thrive. Last year was the first time I had every chosen a word. My friend Barbie’s word is Content, she wants contentment this year. There is a book My One Word:Change Your Life With Just One Word that explains how a word shapes your choices. So the first thing to do is to pray and ask God what word will be your word. I am choosing Conform.  There is a web site to find your tribe, those that have the same word that you have. One Word 365.com

As you know I love acrostics.

C-called to write and conform to Christ likeness.

O-obedience is all I do and say.

N-newness every single day.

F-faithfully serve where He leads

O-only love God first and then others.

R- reach out to others who need Christ.

M-make each day count.

So I do not have a list of resolutions, like I will exercise three days a week.  I am a work in progress. Will you pray and choose a word? Let me know what your word is so I can pray for you.

Father God, Your word says to not conform to this world, help me to stop and think before I speak. Let my words be edifying. Let me to conform to being like Jesus. Let me be transformed by the renewing of my mind. Let me read your word, memorize your word. Let my words show your love.

Beloved, whether you have made resolutions or chosen a word to guide you, God just wants a relationship with you. If you have already failed in your resolutions, know that God’s mercies are new every morning. Great is His Faithfulness.   Blessings.  Diana
