A trip to the beach with a friend as we watched the waves that crash magnificently. Eating melting ice cream, pistachio dripping off my finger, smelling salt water, and watching the sea gulls fly by us looking for something to eat as the waves crash to the shore. A seagull swoops down and hits me in the head. Surfers right from the shore using their surf boards to surf the waves nearest to the beach, the tricks were amazing. Beloved, God made the oceans. When one is at the ocean, the expanse of the water is unending just like God’s love.
Crashing of the waves carries a sound that you will not forget. The beauty of the waves is much like the one in the picture above. Beloved, Psalm 139:18 says, God’s thoughts of you are as numerous as the sand on the seashore every single day. I love the scripture in Job 38 where He shares that He made the ocean. He hung the stars and yes He made you. I love the song by Nicole Nordeman. “My Redeemer Lives” Job 38: 8-11
“Who shut up the sea behind doors when it burst forth from the womb,
when I made the clouds its garment and wrapped it in thick darkness,
when I fixed limits for it and set its doors and bars in place,
when I said, ‘This far you may come and no farther; here is where your proud waves halt’?
Beloved, daily like the waves we may crash but daily God reassure us of his love, assuredly my Redeemer lives.
