“I am the true vine, and my Father is the gardener. He cuts off every branch in me that bears no fruit, while every branch that does bear fruit he prunes so that it will be even more fruitful.” John 15: 1-2
God is the gardener or the vinedresser in the King James Version. Jesus is the true vine. God cuts off every branch that bears no fruit. And the branches that bear fruit still need pruning and the benefit’s more fruit. My husband’s green thumb amazing. But even he couldn’t save an orange tree against a bug and he had to cut it down. However, the avocado trees responded to the pruning and we had the best avocados. Beloved, the promise as he cuts away the branches we are more fruitful.
