28 Day

Every day is a fascinating day when we walk with the Lord, prayerfully.

Beloved, do you wake up each day excited to face the day? There is a song that I love, and perhaps you do too, “In the morning when I rise, in the morning, when I rise, in the morning, give me Jesus.”

Mornings

Are you a morning person? The next step that we will cover in prayer in our acronym PART: Praise, Admit, Request, and Thanks. We will cover requests. This is where you pray for another person. It is good to date your requests and reviews them often. As you watch and pray, you will see God work in mysterious ways. Also, you can divide your prayer list and, for example, pray for your friends on certain days of the week and church members on other days. Are your working on your requests pages?

Fascinating

Our word for the day is fascinating, and the definition is “extremely interesting.” When I saw the word, I looked for it in the Bible, and it is not there, but I thought of heaven and how heaven declares God’s glory, which is fascinating and extremely interesting.

King David’s Prayer

King David knew much about God. He had a personal relationship with Him.

He who dwells in the shelter of the Highest
Will abide in the shadow of the Almighty.
I will say to the Lord, “My refuge and my fortress,
My God, in whom I trust!” Psalm 91: 1-2

Psalm 91 is not written by King David but he knew God as his refuge and fortress.

When King David prayed, he declared God his refuge and fortress, a God he could trust.

Praying for attributes of God is like offering praise. Often when I pray with a patient at the hospital, I thank God for being the Great Physician. I pray for healing that only God can grant, wisdom for the doctors, and compassion from the nurses. Who might you pray for today?

King David knew God as his redeemer. He knew that God created the world. He knew that God was worthy to be praised. In praying God’s word, or King David’s prayers, we acknowledge our love of God. He is a fascinating God; he answers our prayers in creative ways.

Today as you read Psalm 91,

May you rejoice in God’s faithfulness and protection when you read His pinions are the wings of birds. He hides us and protects us.

But as for me, I shall sing of Your strength; I shall joyfully sing of Your lovingkindness in the morning, For You have been my stronghold And a refuge in the day of my distress. Psalm 59: 16

Father God, Create in me a clean heart, search and know me, and see if there is any anxiety or worry I need to give you. I know I am fearfully and wonderfully made. This morning I shall sing of Your strength and joyfully sing of your lovingkindness, for Yoo has been my stronghold and refuge. You are my fortress; I will trust you, God. In Jesus’s name. Amen

I’m not good at writing down or dating the requests I pray for – at least it’s not an ingrained habit, but I am working on it. Because I want to recognize it when I see the answers!

Kym, thank you so much for responding; it can be effortless, a calendar with writing space, a name, and a code word.
Or a paper with columns: Date: Name: Request Date Answered
Also, it is fun to record the how. Blessings Diana

I am definitely a morning person! I love the idea of saying “when I rise, give me Jesus! I want Him at night when I close my eyes, too! 😉

I like the idea of writing down prayer requests and keeping a track of them. I’m going to incorporate it into my Bullet Journal. This year, I feel called to intercede a lot more. Thanks for the inspiraiton, Diana.
