God gives good gifts.
What is a unique gift you have ever received? The word gift is in the Bible 118 times, and the definition is a thing given willingly to someone without payment; it is a present or a natural ability or talent.
We hear the saying, “gift of salvation.” The most amazing gift is that Jesus died on the cross for our sins, and when we believe that Jesus is God’s son and he died on the cross to save us from the penalty of sin, we receive the “gift of salvation.”
For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, Ephesians 2:8. KJV.
Additionally, to the gift of salvation, we receive the gift of eternal life.
For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord. Romans 6:23 KJV,
Moreover, God gifts each one of us with gifts. Gifts belong to each of us, such as the gift of being an encourager, teacher, or preacher.
For the gifts and the calling of God are irrevocable. Romans 11:29. KJV.
Ultimately we thank God for the gift of Jesus.
Thanks be to God for His indescribable gift! 2 Corinthians 9:15. KJV.
Beloved, the bottom line is that every good gift is from God.
Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and comes down from the Father of lights, with whom there is no variation or shadow of turning. James 1:17. KJV.
Some of the best gifts I received were from God are my children, and then my grandchildren.
Father God, thank you for the gift of salvation. Thank you for Jesus. In Jesus’s name, amen.
