Introduction

There is one thing I know that I know that I know. Beloved, God is Good. Do you believe that God is good? We serve a good Heavenly Father. Yes, I am singing in my head the song by Chris Tomlin, Good Good Father.

Do good to your servant
    according to your word, Lord.

    for I trust your commands.

As we explore the above verses, do you trust God and His Word? This is the first time we read that the Psalmist talks about being afflicted. Have you or are you suffering a trial, an affliction?

I have a friend who is suffering from cancer, another suffering from Lyme’s Disease. I too suffer from chronic headaches, fatigue, and low back pain. I can honestly say that suffering drives me to the Lord for help and understanding.

Beloved, God’s word is so important. Cling to the promises, heed the warnings, serve God, and shout from the rooftops, how good God is.

Father God, I ask today that we cling to your promises. Let us dwell in the house of the Lord. Let us read your word and apply your word to our hearts and let us be a witness of God’s goodness?
