God is Our Hero

When you think of creation, do you think of God? We read about creation in Genesis 1 and Genesis 2. God took nothing and created something out of nothing.

Beloved, just sit and think about it, God spoke. His words framed the cosmos. His words framed all of creation.

We see this again in John,

“In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.

The same was in the beginning with God.

All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made.”

John 1: 1-3

Once again beloved, the world were framed by the word of God. This is emphasized in our verses beginning in Hebrews 11.

“Through faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God, so that things which are seen were not made of things which do appear.”Hebrews 11: 3

The word today is begin. When did you begin to have faith in God?

In the beginning……

When I was eleven, I was at church camp and I really heard the invitation to accept Jesus as my Savior. Yes at the tender age of eleven, I knew I was a sinner. What were my sins, probably rolling my eyes at my mother. Romans 3:23 says that all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.

Read with me this verse in Isaiah.

“Thus saith God the Lord, he that created the heavens, and stretched them out; he that spread forth the earth, and that which cometh out of it; he that giveth breath unto the people upon it, and spirit to them that walk therein:”  Isaiah 42:5

and

“For thus saith the Lord that created the heavens; God himself that formed the earth and made it; he hath established it, he created it not in vain, he formed it to be inhabited: I am the Lord; and there is none else.” Isaiah 45:18

Beloved, our faith begins with God.

God is big enough for your questions. Beloved, God is big enough for your questions. He increases our faith as we touch our toes in the waters of life.

Our verse is about faith.

What do you need to do to increase your faith?

Father God, increase my faith and the faith of my dear sisters as we read about the heros of our faith. You are the first hero of faith. Without you in my life, where would I be? I love you Lord. Thank you for speaking the world into existence.
