Jesus is the same yesterday and today and forever. I love this promise. In John 1: 1-4, Jesus is the WORD.
In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was with God in the beginning. Through him all things were made; without him nothing was made that has been made. In him was life, and that life was the light of all mankind. The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it.
The Psalmist in Psalm 19 shares that God’s word is perfect, refreshing the soul. Other names for God’s word are statutes, precepts, commands and decrees. The words are trustworthy, firm, righteous, more precious than gold, and sweeter that honey. In Psalm 19:9, The fear of the Lord is pure, enduring forever. The decrees of the Lord are firm, and all of them are righteous.
Beloved, is reading God’s word a priority?
May these words of my mouth and this meditation of my heart be pleasing in your sight, Lord, my Rock and my Redeemer. Psalm 19:14
