Dating myself here but how many saw Mister Rogers neighborhood of TV. His show painted a safe neighborhood teaching children values of honesty, love and integrity. Growing up in Dodge City, Kansas, I knew my neighbors. Raising my children, we knew our neighbors and had really good friends. Psalm 1 shares blessed is the one who do does not walk in step with the wicked or stand in the way that sinners take but whose delight is in the law of the Lord. Beloved, do you know your neighbors? Blessings were our from our neighbors over the years and from friends. My husband had five back surgeries and during these surgeries and other crises, my neighbors/friends helped in ways that made us feel loved and supported. God is truly good.
If you really keep the royal law found in Scripture, “Love your neighbor as yourself,” you are doing right. James 2:8
Beloved, are you a good neighbor, a good friend, how about to God?

October 12, 2016 at 10:24 pmI loved watching Mr. Rogers. Sadly, we only really know one of our close neighbors. People are so hard to get to know sometimes. I need to be more intentional.
