Do you make resolutions? Do you choose a word to guide you for the new year? Happy New Year, 365 days, fresh starts each day.
One of my favorite verses is in 2 Corinthians.
Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new. 2 Corinthians 5:17.
Beloved, His mercies are new every morning. Read the promise in Lamentations.
It is of the Lord‘s mercies that we are not consumed, because his compassions fail not.
They are new every morning: great is thy faithfulness. Lamentations 3: 22-23
Will you join me and read the Bible every day this year. Today the reading is in Genesis 1-3. I will join Wendy Pope at WendyPope.com to read a chronological Bible. Beloved, I seem to fail at this every year, perhaps this year will be different.
My word this year is NEW. I want to experience many new things this year. The most important is being in awe of God’s Goodness.
Father God, you are the Creator as we read in Genesis 1-3. Because of your love, you created each one of us and I am in awe of your majesty. Please be with my sisters-in-Christ as they read your word and celebrate you as creator. In Jesus name, Amen.
