“Here am I. Send me!” Isaiah 8b
Vice-gripping migraine headaches are in my past, totally disabled from 1982-1984. Courage and skills gained from a pain center allowing me to return to school. Confidence I lacked soon became hope that I might be successful. Medical Assistant Certificate completed and working back office in a physician office fueled my heart’s desire of becoming a nurse. Diana Rockwell, Register Nurse finished my Master’s degree in 1999. Successful career of nursing a few more years to work, to God be the glory all honor and praise.
You have granted him his heart’s desire and have not withheld the request of his lips. Psalms 21:2
The migraines are still in my life not as bad or as disabling. Chronic illness has a way of rocking your world. What does one do? My choice is to go to work. I do a lot of praying and claiming verses. Philippians 4:16
Moses was tending to his father-in-laws land when God called him to work at the age of 80 with the burning bush.
The angel of the LORD appeared to him in a blazing fire from the midst of a bush; and he looked, and behold, the bush was burning with fire, yet the bush was not consumed. So Moses said, “I must turn aside now and see this marvelous sight, why the bush is not burned up.”When the LORD saw that he turned aside to look, God called to him from the midst of the bush and said, “Moses, Moses!” And he said, “Here I am.”… Exodus 3:2-4
Isaiah commissioned: Isaiah 6 5-8
“Woe to me!” I cried. “I am ruined! For I am a man of unclean lips, and I live among a people of unclean lips, and my eyes have seen the King, the Lord Almighty.” Then one of the seraphim flew to me with a live coal in his hand, which he had taken with tongs from the altar. With it he touched my mouth and said, “See, this has touched your lips; your guilt is taken away and your sin atoned for.” Then I heard the voice of the Lord saying, “Whom shall I send? And who will go for us?” And I said, “Here am I. Send me!”
The disciples dropped what they were doing and followed Jesus. Beloved are you ready in 2016 to say, “Here am I send me!”
