My mom and grandma taught me to pray. I remember playing church as a child. We would sing, read the Bible and pray. In the 1980’s, I learned to write my prayers. There was a class and the book we studied was “Lord, I Am Listening.” Oh, the homemade prayer journals I made. I named my journals, one was called The Quiet Heart.
Then in 2005n, I met Becky Tirabassi who I have followed since that time. She prays an hour a day sometimes longer. She makes an appointment one day in advance to meet with Jesus. Since that time I follow her system of prayer. PART is the acronym. Praise, Admit, Request, and Thanksgiving. This is our part, God’s part is the LMNOP, Listen, Messages, New Testament, Old Testament, and Proverbs. She has a To Do in her journal called My Prayer Partner. She reads her Change Your Life Bible and records verses that speak to her in the various sections.
Beloved whether you write your prayers or say them audibly, the most important things is that you pray. Prayer is our vehicle into God’s presence.
I have been challenged to praise God more, will you join me in praising God in the next 72 hours.
Watch and pray, that ye enter not into temptation: the spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak. Matthew 26:41.
Praise ye the Lord. Praise God in his sanctuary: praise him in the firmament of his power. Praise him for his mighty acts: praise him according to his excellent greatness. Praise him with the sound of the trumpet: praise him with the psaltery and harp. …Psalm 150.
When did you learn to pray? Who taught you to pray? How often you do you pray?

October 17, 2018 at 2:50 pmI don’t remember anyone teaching me as a youngster. It is now a pursuit of mine. I pray daily and especially like to do so when I walk. Although I have never been very constant about journaling my prayers. That is something I would like to engage in.
