Because…….
Tuesday at Ten
Dear friends, although I was very eager to write to you about the salvation we share, I felt compelled to write and urge you to contend for the faith that was once for all entrusted to God’s holy people. Jude 1:3
Karen from Tuesday at Ten gives us a prompt and we have a week to link up and share our hearts. a pictures, a poem, whatever is our inspiration. The prompt, “Why do I write?”
God calls each of us and gives each of us different gifts. Romans 11:29 says, “for God’s gifts and his call are irrevocable!” Beloved, I write because the Lord has given me the desire to write. I began writing love letters to God called prayers. Writing my prayers helps keep me focused. PART is the acronym for Praise, Admission, Requests, and Thanksgiving. Beloved, do you praise God for His attributes, gifts and blessings. I admit the things that I know I am participating in that separate me from God. I allow the Holy Spirit to convict me and if it is too personal I still write my admission but I run the paper through the shredder. Dating my requests and when I see the answer I date the answer also. Lastly, a letter of thanksgiving. I am so thankful for blessings every day. Lastly, I record scripture according to Old and New Testament, Psalm and Proverbs.
Beloved from writing my prayers, I started to write devotionals for God.
David’s Charge to Solomon
and for the altar of incense refined gold by weight; and gold for the model of the chariot, even the cherubim that spread out their wings and covered the ark of the covenant of the LORD. “All this,” said David, “the LORD made me understand in writing by His hand upon me, all the details of this pattern.”Then David said to his son Solomon, “Be strong and courageous, and act; do not fear nor be dismayed, for the LORD God, my God, is with you. He will not fail you nor forsake you until all the work for the service of the house of the LORD is finished.…1 Chronicles 28: 18-20
God’s hands are on each of us. I love to journal, I love to record my prayers, I love to write God’s promises. Beloved, be strong and courageous. There is something special about writing yours prayers. Try it you might like it……
Father God, I praise you because you are the alpha the omega the beginning the end. You created the world and you created each one of us. You knew us in our mother’s womb. You love us. You tell us to be strong and courageous, and there are times I admit that I am not strong and courageous. Help me to be strong and courageous for you. I ask that I not be filled with fear. Father God Your love does not fail me. Thank you for Your unfailing love.
