a time to weep and a time to laugh, a time to mourn and a time to dance, Ecclesiastes 3:4
“Laughter is the best medicine!” My mother loved to laugh and we could laugh about seemingly nothing. To hide her fear of escalator she would stand at the top of escalator and laugh and as she laughed I would laugh, she would laugh and I would laugh. Finally she would get on the escalator laughing. Are you laughing?
Why does a silly joke make us laugh? It just brings us joy for that moment. Joy gives us strength.
I will Extol You, O Lord
Sing praise to the LORD, you His godly ones, And give thanks to His holy name. For His anger is but for a moment, His favor is for a lifetime; Weeping may last for the night, But a shout of joy comes in the morning. Now as for me, I said in my prosperity, “I will never be moved.”… Psalm 30: 4-6
Laughing hard brings tears to my eyes how about you? Beloved, what makes you joyful today? When was the last time you had a good laugh that brought tears to yours eyes? Live, Laugh, Love.
