Letting Go
Letting go is hard to do. When I think of “Let Go” I think of, “Let Go, and Let God.” Many times in life, I needed to let it go and let God but just held on for dear life. There was a time, I wanted my boss’ approval so bad finally, I had to realize I was never going to receive his approval. Guess what I never did. Another time when I lost a friendship, I wanted that friendship and despite my apologizing, I never regained the friendship. Later I did get an apology but we could not capture what we had in the past. Several job changes let me to make changes that help me to grow in letting go. I am no longer seeking approval from a boss. I just do the best job I can do every single day.
The verse above says, “Hold on to instruction. do not, let it go; guard it well, for it is your life.” Another verse that talks about God’s word is Psalm 119:11 says, “I have hidden your word in my heart that I might not sin against you.”
What things might you need to let go? Has your husband asked you for a divorce? Are you a single parent? Do you have more month than money? Is there someone you need to talk to because there is a distance between you and her that did not exist before? You health is failing? You have an empty nest? You need a job?
Beloved, what do you need to need let go and let God?
