Five Minute Friday- A time to write for five minutes no correction and connect with other beautiful writers at Five Minute Friday.
My son Dale was four-years-old I was a discussion leader at Bible Study Fellowship. The Children’s Leaders’ set limits on the children with basic rules and used a sad chair to enforce the following of the rules. This was explained to the children that when they did something beyond the limits of the rules, the teacher was sad when the child did not listen and there by had to sit in the sad chair. So this seemed like a really good idea and I tried limit setting at home. One such limit was when playing out front not to go past the tree which was at the top of our driveway. Well, imagine my surprise to find Dale at the end of the driveway. I firmly called to him to return to the house and he said, “Please, mommy, do not put me in the SAD CHAIR!”
Limits can be set to keep us from harm such as the speed limit. Or a limit maybe placed on the amount of money to be spent on a gift so that everyone shares a nice gift exchange. What do you think when I say, “the skies the limit!” I think there is no limit, like I can dream a really big dream. Well one thing I know is that there is not limit to God’s love. Yes, God’s love is limitless.
For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him John 3:16-17
There is no fear in love; but perfect love casts out fear, because fear involves punishment, and the one who fears is not perfected in love. We love, because He first loved us.If someone says, “I love God,” and hates his brother, he is a liar; for the one who does not love his brother whom he has seen, cannot love God whom he has not seen.… I John 4:18-20
We will never be in the sad chair with God. His love is limitless.
His love letter is limitless because it abounds in wisdom for our life.
