Humidity made the air thick, my sleeves shirt sticking to my back, my face red having been kissed by the sun, we were all excused to go and ponder the message from the teacher. She was a missionary, her stories exciting, this was the first time, I was away from home. Suddenly, a quiet voice, speaking to me and I knew I had to say yes to Jesus. The Holy Spirit called my name Diana. Later, I walked the isle of that camp and prayed asking Jesus as my Lord and Savior. Beloved, do you remember when you met Jesus?
I love Jesus and have loved him all of my life. My beautiful mother and grandmother teaching me to pray and to count on Jesus when times were good and when times were hard. Jesus never leaves us or forsakes us.
Jesus replied, “This is the most important: ‘Hear O Israel, the Lord our God is One Lord, and you shall love the Lord your God withall your heart and with all your souland with all your mind and with allyour strength.’ The second is this: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’ No other commandment is greater than these.”… Mark 12: 29-31
I wandered away while in college. Too busy with school work, too angry, but when all was said and done, I could not stay away from God. I have never been that far away nor will I ever be, I listened to the lie of Satan that God did not care. When I recognized my sadness and who was responsible, I ran to Jesus and asked for forgiveness. Beloved, I have never looked back.
