Marching With Joy – Day 6
Beloved, when was the last time you shouted for joy to the Lord. This particular Psalm is all about grateful praise. I happen to love to sing and love songs of hymns and praise. So many scriptures have been set to music.
One of the ways to learn scripture is to write, and yes, we can sing it.
Joy is often forgotten amid the pain. So what pain might be robbing you of joy? My sweet friend Suzanne Eller wrote Joy Keeper: 6 Truths That Changes Every Thing You Know About Joy.
This book shares about joy stealers and one of those may be pain, pain from a relationship that is a struggle, pain from a wayward child, or physical pain.
Most days I suffer from a migraine headache. As you know my motto in life is to keep putting one foot in front of the other. I go most days in spite of pain. I do this because this is what I need to do to live each day to the fullest in spite of the pain that trys to rob my joy. “I can do all things through Jesus Christ who gives me strength.” Phil 1:13.
Our Psalm is all about Joy read it with me.
Shout for joy to the Lord, all the earth.
Worship the Lord with gladness;
come before him with joyful songs.
Know that the Lord is God.
It is he who made us, and we are his[a];
we are his people, the sheep of his pasture.
Enter his gates with thanksgiving
and his courts with praise;
give thanks to him and praise his name.
For the Lord is good and his love endures forever;
his faithfulness continues through all generations. Psalm 100.
Our day must be filled with joy even if there are joy stealers in our lives.
Remember, beloved, one foot in front of the other for the Lord. Filled with Joy for the Lord.
