Have you ever felt that your friend’s sins are forgiven but your sins or the choices you made grieved God so forgiveness didn’t apply to you? For many years I felt this way. I felt that the choices I made did not merit forgiveness. Of course, Satan, the father of lies, loved that deep down in my heart I believed forgiveness applied to you but not to me. So what removed the blinders off my eyes?
Dr, Neil Anderson came to our church. I read his two life changing books Victory Over Darkness and The Bondage Breaker. I participated in a freedom appointment. Three women met with me and we prayed through the Steps to Freedom that deals with seven area that Satan accuses believes such as humility versus pride. Five hours later, I walked out free in Christ. Daily I know who I am in Christ.
So what can separate you from Christ? Sin is the only thing that can separate you from Jesus Christ. If you choose to not confess sin, sin will separate you from God. However, confession leads to repentance,
And you are more than a conqueror by confessing and then by not giving into temptation.
No temptation has overtaken you except what is common to mankind. And God is faithful; he will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear. But when you are tempted, he will also provide a way out so that you can endure it.” 1 Corinthians 10:13
For the believer, those of us that have asked Jesus as our Savior, nothing can separate us from the love of God. The truth is that we are free in Jesus Christ.
We are free from condemnation.
Therefore there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus. For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus has set you free from the law of sin and of death. Romans 12: 1-2
We are God’s Masterpiece.
For we are God’s masterpiece. He has created us anew in Christ Jesus, so we can do the good things he planned for us long ago. Ephesians 2:10
We are God’s Temple.
Don’t you know that you yourselves are God’s temple and that God’s Spirit dwells in your midst?1 Corinthians 3:16
Beloved, walk in forgiveness, keep a short list of wrongs, daily bible readings and prayer, remember, nothing can separate you from the love of God. Love your family and friends. Will you claim your freedom in Christ?
Life Lesson. Jesus purchased your freedom and nothing can separate you from Christ but you must support your freedom. Maintain your freedom daily?
Song: Forgiveness by Matthew West
Father God, I praise you that nothing can separate us from the love of God, I praise you that we are more than conquerors. Thank you Lord that we are free in Christ. Lord I love that I am your masterpiece, and your temple of the Holy Spirit. Thank you that I am free from condemnation. Bless us Lord. Help us claim our freedom. In Jesus’ name Amen.
