Tuesday At Ten
As a child my Christmas traditions seem to always be on Christmas Eve. Santa would visit our house early as my friends would have gifts on Christmas morning. My mother cooked candy Divinity, Oklahoma Brown Candy, and Fudge. She would make Tamales. When I discovered who Santa was then we would have dinner and open presents.
As a married couple with children, we celebrate with our in-laws Christmas Eve and had our Christmas with our boys Christmas morning. I always read the advent reading for the day. I usually made a cheese ball and made cookies.
Married for forty-five years, the majority of the Christmas Eve’s were at my in-law’s but traditions change. So now we are still celebrating on Christmas Eve.
As a Grandma, my gifts to my grandchildren is a new ornament every year and a new pair of pajama’s the pj’s fit so they can go to bed in new pj’s as they wait for Santa Claus.
My mother-in-law brings candy every year that is her tradition.
Blessings,
