She impressed me, her joy, there is nothing ordinary or routine about her, she is free and filled with joy, as she splashes in the puddles. Her rubber boots cover her feet, her hair in disarray, she proudly hangs onto her daddy’s hand and finds every puddle on the way to their car. I find myself wanting to splash in the puddle that day, it was not my normal routine, I was at the doctor for this rapid heart rate that is interrupting my routine. What do you do when illness invades your life and forces you to change your routine? Do you give your fears and concerns to God first or take them to your friends? So, after I prayed, I decided to make this day a special day, a day never has to be ordinary, it does not have to be routine. Give your day to Jesus and find the joy of the little girl who is splashing in puddles.
May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit. Romans 15:13
