Oh my!!!!

Have you ever wished you would have said what was in your head sooner? The day was long, the road had a detour only three miles but it knocked the wiring harness loose so that we had no trailer lights. We are pulling a 5th wheel. A wing and a prayer, thirty miles from our final destination, friends praying. Then your destination is on your left.

My husband made the turn and thought he had the necessary clearance to go under an awning of a gasoline station and I thought, does he has enough clearance?

Less than a mile from my dad’s house, a station that belongs to my step-brother Ted. Our plan to park our 5th wheel at my step-brother”s station and walk to my dad’s house.

I retired on June 29, 2017 and I believe I am following God’s plan. To come to Oklahoma and be near my dad. He is ninety-two, still living on his own. Really I want to enjoy him and the time we have left. God says in, Ephesians 6: 1-2 1Children, obey your parents in the Lord, for this is right. 2“Honor your father and mother” (which is the first commandment with a promise), 3“that it may go well with you and that you may be long-lived on the earth.”a  Doug and I honored his mother by caring for her. Now we will honor my dad.

This day ended with the Fort Cobb police showing up at the station. You see, Doug misjudge the height of the station awning and out trailer was taller than the awning. He crunched our brand new 5th wheel and the station. Thanking the Lord that we have insurance but our plans changed. Now we are staying with my dad instead of setting up the 5th wheel.

Beloved, what do you do when your circumstances change? Do you curse the very Lord that gave you the blessing in the first place? Do you ask, Why me Lord? What did I do to have this happen to me? I find great hope in Romans 8 the verses remind us that if God is for us who can be against us and nothing can separated us from the love of God.

Yes I wish I would have spoke up, Doug drove under the awning and crunched the trailer and did damaged to the 5th wheel and my stepbrother’s gas station, the police arrived. Such excitement for such a long hard day.  Now, we are in a state of limbo on our trailer as an insurance examiner has not seen the 5th wheel as yet. But, we have good insurance and no one was hurt. The station’s scheduled for repair to awning and hopefully the 5th wheel soon. My dad loves having us at his house. Yes, we are more than conquers through Jesus Christ.

And we know that God works all things together for the good of those who love Him, who are called according to His purpose. Romans 8:28
