Then Peter said, “Silver or gold I do not have, but what I do have I give you. In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, walk.” Taking him by the right hand, he helped him up, and instantly the man’s feet and ankles became strong. He jumped to his feet and began to walk. Then he went with them into the temple courts, walking and jumping, and praising God. When all the people saw him walking and praising God, they recognized him as the same man who used to sit begging at the temple gate called Beautiful, and they were filled with wonder and amazement at what had happened to him.Act 3: 6-10

What seems impossible is possible with God. A year ago in October as a part of a writing group I meet Dr. Michelle Bengtson. Little did I know a year ago that an online friendship from a sister-in-Christ is not only possible across many miles but God’s provision is a journey for us to meet again this year. Michelle travels in July to meet me at my father’s home is Fort Cobb, Oklahoma. She picks me up later in July at the airport in Dallas for dinner as I have a three-hour lay over which I seldom experience. More on this friendship tomorrow.
Peter filled with the Holy Spirit and after prayer heals the lame man. The lame man begins his journey. “He jumped to his feet and began to walk”. He had a possible action plan filtered through a God of possibilities. This man went to the temple court praising God. Beloved, what is the God of possibilities asking you to do?
Stop.
Father God thank you for giving us the impossible and making it the possible. Just as the Lame man began his journey let us step out in faith and begin our walk of faith. Let us claim your promises in Romans 8:28, “And we know that God causes all things to work together for good to those who love God, to those who are called according to His purpose.”
