S May your unfailing love come to me, O Lord, your salvation according to your promise, then I will answer the one who taunts me, for I trust in your word. I will walk about in freedom, for I have sought out your precepts.
O This is a prayer. Precepts and promises pertain to God’s word. Attributes of God is Love and He gives us His promises and salvation is because of His son. The writer of this Psalm was looking towards the coming of Christ so salvation was not only from the enemies of that time but at death. Action words are I trust, I walk, I sought. The writer is asking to feel God’s unfailing love and he is putting his trust in the attribute of God, love. God promises us His love, God gives us hope and answers when we are taunted. Our obligation or action is to trust that God’s word is true and powerful. Because of God’s word and his gift of His son we walk in freedom.
A What promises are you claiming from God’s word? Whom do you turn to when you are taunted? Do you know God’s word so that you can claim promises when feelings of being taunted or attacked? Have you asked to be filled with God’s unfailing love? Have you accepted Jesus as your savior? What do you need to do daily to walk in freedom? How often are you reading God’s word and praying?
P Father God, may your unfailing love come to each of us studying Psalm 119. Father I pray for anyone who is reading this that may not know your son, Jesus. Lord, for anyone seeking Jesus send your Holy Spirit and lead her to the saving knowledge of Jesus. Help us claim your promises. Father God, allow me to daily speak your love and give the reason for my hope. Lord thank you that I can trust your word. Lord today I proclaim my freedom that you give us in your word. In Jesus name, amen.

Beloved, do you trust God and His word? God is good all the time even when we are taunted. Do you walk in freedom? The reason the Psalmist walks in freedom is because he seeks God’s word. Do you seek God by reading His word? God is good all the time. Blessings.
