S I rise before dawn and cry for help; I have put my hope in your word. My eyes stay open through the watches of the night, that I may meditate on your promises.
O The psalmist had quiet time. He puts his hope in God’s word. He fasts from sleep so he can meditate on God’s word or the purpose in his life.
A When is your quiet time? Do you cry for help and put your hope in God’s word? Are you focused on God when you can not sleep? Do you meditate on God’s promises?
P Father God, I am convicted that I need to be before you early in the morning to give you the cares of my day. You are my hope, my only hope. When I can’t sleep you are there. Let me meditate on your word. You promises are all I need and I want to meditate on your promises and claim your hope.
Beloved, our memory verse.
