S May my lips overflow with praise, for you to reach me your decrees. May my tongue sing of your word, for all your commands are righteous. May your hand be ready to help me, for I have chosen your precepts.
O The Psalmist is obedient to God, he wants to use his lips for praise, his tongue to sing of God’s goodness, faithfulness because God is righteous. He wanted to use his hands to be the hands of Jesus because God’s precepts are true.
A How often do you share God’s word? When you are lonely, angry, tired do you praise Jesus with your lips? Do you sing of the goodness of God and His mighty ways? Do you believe that God is righteous and His commands are true? Are you the hands of Jesus? Do you read God’s word? Are you willing to spread the good news about God precepts?
P Father God, May my lips overflow with praise, may my tongue sing your praises, may my hands be the arms of Jesus. May my life be a reflection of You. May the words of my mouth be a reflection of You. May my actions be worthy of your love. God your word is righteous, true, and your precepts guide my life. Your word is a light unto my path. You shine into the dark cubby holes of my soul and as I commit my way unto you, your words become life to me. Let me proclaim of your goodness and your love. You are the alpha the omega the beginning the end. You are mercy and grace and your mercies are new every morning.

Beloved, do you praise God for His word? Do you sing God’s praises? Have you ever praised God through the alphabet? As we come to the end of this week, the Psalm 119 study comes to a close. I would love to know if you enjoyed this study. The next study is Galatians and so I do not know whether to continue placing the study here in my blog. Thanking you in advance for reading my blog.

August 6, 2015 at 9:33 pmI have greatly enjoyed this study, and am sorry to see it come to an end. I am looking forward to Galatians beginning in September. This is my first experience with the SOAP method, and I love it. I feel like it makes you think about what you’ve read, and as I go back through some of the previous weeks, I find that I can come up with even more observations and ways of applying God’s word to my own life.
Diana, you have been such a blessing, and inspiration to me. Thank you for your leadership and your love!
Blessings,
Rachelle
