Nicole C. Mullen’s song My Redeemer Lives is one of my favorite songs. If you haven’t listened to the song, please click on the link and take a few minutes and listen.
In Chapter 38: 4-11, Job challenged by God, God reminds Job who God is,
“Where were you when I laid the earth’s foundation?
Tell me, if you understand.
who marked off its dimensions? Surely you know!
Who stretched a measuring line across it?
On what were its footings set,
or who laid its cornerstone—
while the morning stars sang together
and all the angelsa shouted for joy?
“Who shut up the sea behind door
when it burst forth from the womb,
when I made the clouds its garment
and wrapped it in thick darkness,
when I fixed limits for it
and set its doors and bars in place,
when I said, ‘This far you may come and no farther;
here is where your proud waves halt’?
The rest of Job 38 is rich explanation of God’s creation. Beloved, our Redeemer lives.
I went through a rough patch in my faith, really a crisis of my faith, far away from God, several wrong choices. I graduated from college and separated from my husband for a short time from my husband. One son stayed with my husband and I had my younger son, and the grass was not greener so I reunited with my husband. In 1995, I met with three women and prayed through the Dr. Neil Anderson’s Steps To Freedom. It was a life changing appointment. You see I believed forgiveness was for you but not for me. This day in November 1995, I forgave and accepted forgiveness and believed that God forgave me for choices I made. God healed my marriage.
Isaiah 48:17 This is what the LORD says– your Redeemer, the Holy One of Israel: “I am the LORD your God, who teaches you what is best for you, who directs you in the way you should go.
Beloved, how is God your Redeemer?
Father God, Thank you for being our Redeemer. Thank you for creating the world and teaching each one of us that you care for us enough to redeem us. Thanks for sending your Son to be our Savior. I praise you. I love you Lord. In Jesus’ Name Amen.
