Redemption Story

Writing for me began when I was in college, a paper every three days. It was during the summer as I was enrolled in the nursing program during the spring and winter. I was in this course because I failed my first attempt at passing this particular English class that I needed for my degree. Since this time, I’ve continued to write to honor God.

Give thanks to the Lord, for he is good; his love endures forever.

Let the redeemed of the Lord tell their story—
those he redeemed from the hand of the foe,
those he gathered from the lands,
from east and west, from north and south. Psalm 107: 1-3

There is a challenge to write every day for December to share the good news of Jesus Christ. I used to participate in these events, but I started struggling for words to share.

The story of Jesus begins with creation; you see, Jesus was present when God created the world. In the first chapter, we read this when God says, “Let us make man in our image.” Then the redemptive plan is revealed in Genesis 3:15 when we read about Jesus.

Jesus’ story does not begin as a babe in a manager, and it does not end with His death on a cross. His story powerfully impacts each one of us because it causes a crisis of faith. We’re told a story, and then we’ve got a choice, do we believe and make Jesus our savior.

Here I am to let the redeemed of the Lord speak because I am a redeemed child of God. I love Jesus, do you?

Blessed Assurance,  this isn’t a traditional Christmas song, but it tells our story when we accept Jesus.

Join me in reading the Bible, Luke 1.

I continue to write my story as long as I hear the still small voice.

Father God, thank you for Jesus and his redemptive work in my life. I am in awe of His Majesty. Thank you for saving my soul. Thank you that I can share. I am a redeemed child of God. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Beloved, when did your redemptive story begin?
