There is a time for everything, and a season for every activity under the heavens: Ecclesiastes 3:1
Despite the Christmas holiday jitters, this is my favorite season. I love to see the twinkling light, beautiful decorations, and the children’s expressions. It amazes me how many days it takes to prepare for Christmas morning or for us Christmas eve and it is over and then just a memory.
But the season is really more that the giving and receiving of gifts, the season is a time to grow closer to our Lord Jesus Christ, to God who gave His Son Immanuel.
For to us a child is born, to us a son is given, and the government will be on his shoulders. And he will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace. Isaiah 9:6
Therefore the Lord himself will give you a sign: The virgin will conceive and give birth to a son, and will call him Immanuel. Isaiah 7:14
The season is a time of reflection, of spending time with your family but I hope you have quality time with your Lord.
Beloved, what is your play to draw close to your Lord?
