Five minute Friday, a time to write about a word. No correcting, just free writing for five minutes
“SHARE”
As children we learn from the time we are little that we have to share. As an adult this lesson of sharing must be taught to our children that they must share their favorite toy or share candy. Jesus taught the disciples how to share when he borrowed the five fish and two loaves of bread and fed the 5,000. If you have clothes that are not being used, share. If you have food that is not being eaten, share. Care more for others than yourself and you will share. When you see a need, share. When someone is sad, share joy.
Practical ideas for sharing with the homeless. Have bottles of water that can be given away. Have grocery cards or fast food cards that can be given away to meet hunger needs. Have an extra pair of gloves in the car, give them away. Give away your smile.
S-Smile
H-Hope
A-Add
R-Real
E-Energy
With your smile you give hope and add real energy to the plight of the homeless. Because you are willing to share. When we meet physical needs we can then help emotionally and physically. God you tell us to share.
Hebrews 13:16 And do not forget to do good and to share with others, for with such sacrifices God is pleased.

January 26, 2015 at 3:13 pmPopping over from the FMF link up 🙂 Great post! I like the acronym. 🙂 Not too long ago I was reading about the loaves and fishes (the title escapes me at the moment! sorry) and how it was “enough” not because of what it was or who was giving it, but because everything is made great when placed in Jesus’ hands. I love that. Sometimes I don’t feel like I have much to share – but in His hands it is enough! Keep writing!
